Pass In A Flash OGT Social Studies Flash Cards…

$14.95

This pack of 96 4-inch by 6-inch flash cards is aligned with Ohio’s new academic content standards. Each card has an important social studies question on one side and the answer on the other, so there are 96 questions altogether. The questions are multiple-choice, short answer and extended answer. Cards with multiple-choice questions also provide an analysis that explains why the correct answer is correct and the wrong answers are incorrect. Short-answer and extended-response questions provide sample answers that would help the student score the maximum number of points.

Academic standards are listed in the upper left-hand corner of the flash card’s front, as are the social studies topics and concepts of that particular question.

Editors’ Review:
Pass in a Flash Ohio Graduation Test Social Studies Flash Cards

Pluses - Like the math and science flash cards in this series, the social studies flash cards are simple and direct with one question/answer to a card. That design makes them easy to use as does the coated card stock. Students can flip through the deck of questions and get quick answers by turning the cards over. This provides “instant gratification” to students who want to evaluate their own preparation skills. The questions also cover a broad range of topics, including geography, history, government functions, economics, citizenship, societies and social studies skills and methods. Each deck can be used by one student or several in a group. However, it would be difficult to use one deck for an entire classroom.

Minuses – Like the other flash cards in this series, these cards come shrink wrapped and unboxed. That’s a problem when it comes to storage. Although they are numbered, it would be difficult to keep them in sequence. Chances are they would end up scattered across the teacher’s desk or on the classroom floor! Odds are, one or two (if not more) are going to get lost along the way.
